1. LAYTIME

  • Drawing, vetting counter party laytime, difference identification and settlement.

    • Both counter​ parties generally present their laytime calculations in their own formatting. From previous experience the common response is 'we maintain out last' without any clarity. This leads to delays in agreement on a number, which will increase brokers having to spend time pushing parties to respond. 

    • The following services are what WFMS offers;

      • Act as an extension to examine the laytime calculations  submitted by owners and charterers

      • Examine the agreed CP terms, SOF, barge log etc

      • Recast the laytime

      • Identify the differences and provide a detailed note highlighting the possible cause for the differences

      • Provide our opinion based on the agreed CP clauses

  • Demurrage claims recovery.

  • PFHS vetting, difference identification and settlement.

  • Off-hire claims handling.

  • Speed/consumption claims handling.

  • Voyage performance analysis integrated with detective bunker survey for optimal results.​​

    • Both counter parties generally present their hire statements, off-hire claims in their own formatting.​ Invariably, there are disagreements and most noticeably on off-hires', speed claims, claim for damages or breaches etc which resulting numerous exchanges.

    • WFMS acts as your extension and provides the following services;

      • Examine the PFHS, off-hires, claims etc submitted by owners and charterers.

      • Examine the agreed CP terms and available communications.

      • Recast the off-hire and claims.

      • Identify the differences and provide a detailed note highlighting the differences. 

      • Provide out opinion based on the agreed CP clauses

      • Provide our view, suggestions, and arguments essentially trying to have disagreements addressed at the root itself which ensures the files are closed as promptly as possible, thereby reducing working capital employed and creating more awareness and training as we go along.
